Benny has had leadership experiences in companies of all sizes.  He was the ex-President of Asia for NYSE-listed Tyco International, a provider of fire, security and building solutions. He was also the Managing Director of Asia in Aggreko, a UK publicly listed power solutions company, Earlier on, Benny was the President of an NYSE-listed company, China Yuchai International; and he also held various leadership positions in Ingersoll Rand and Trane including Managing Director and Vice President, North Asia for the climate solutions business.

In his former tenure as the CEO of Cyber Data Centre, the company’s mandate aside from providing co-location data storage for customers is also a commercial test-bed that adopts best-in-class technologies to build green and sustainable data storage facilities. He is currently the Founder and Managing Director of Parami Solutions, a boutique strategy consulting firm. He has been actively advising C-suite senior management of multinational companies on their Asia Pacific businesses' strategic plans and options in today’s business climate of change.

As an Innovation Advisor with IPI, Benny helps Singapore SMEs leverage and exploit technologies to grow their businesses. In addition, he is a Board Mentor for Criticaleye, a UK peer-to-peer board community firm as well as Non-Executive Director and Advisor to a technology start-up – an AI medical patient matching platform provider. 

Benny first started his business career as a management consultant with A.T. Kearney in Chicago, USA and later was a Director in Ernst & Young Corporate Finance, Singapore.

Benny was a President's Scholar and SAF Overseas Scholar. He had spent the first 11 years of his working life with the Republic of Singapore Air Force, culminating his military career as a Lt Colonel in the Ministry of Defence in 1992.

Benny has a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Physics from the University of Oxford, England and an MBA from the Harvard Business School, Massachusetts, USA. He has also the ICCG certification on Corporate Governance from the INSEAD Business School.
