Dr Sze Tiam Lin, Director, IPI, was invited as one of the speakers during the inaugural BCA Research and Innovation Workshop on 13 March. During his presentation on “Commercialising New Technologies”, Dr Sze shared the process of commercializing technology. He also presented the challenges faced in turning ideas into a commercially viable technology, as well as opportunities through showcasing successful case studies.

The BCA Research and Innovation Workshop series was launched by BCA in conjunction with the announcement of the $20 million GBIC-Building Energy Efficient Demonstrations Scheme (GBIC-Demo) on 11 March. The objective of the Workshop is to drive research, development and demonstration in the field of green buildings.  It also aims to create and maintain a network of knowledge between researchers, practitioners, developers and all relevant stakeholders.
