The Cool Ideas Enterprise, an open innovation programme targeted at aspiring entrepreneurs and enterprises with solutions that improve the HDB living environment was announced at the inaugural Housing & Development Board (HDB) Innovation Festival on 28 November 2018. HDB in partnership with Enterprise Singapore (ESG), and supported by Action Community for Entrepreneurship (ACE) and IPI, will provide innovators with mentorship, funding, test-bedding and pilot implementation opportunities. About S$5 million is set aside by ESG to support this programme over two years.

Michael Goh, Deputy Director of IPI, shared how applicants in the Cool Idea Enterprise programme can leverage IPI’s technology marketplace to source for innovations and technical experts to enhance their solutions at the Innovation Festival.
