As part of IPI’s efforts to share market and technology insights and pave new partnership opportunities in the industrial wastewater management space, IPI organised the Emerging Technology Forum on Difficult-to-Treat Industrial Wastewater on 6 November 2020.

Ethan Siew, Technology Manager, Energy & Environment presented his findings on the market opportunities available for industrial wastewater treatment, despite the disruption by COVID-19 and spotlighted five advanced oxidation processes (AOP) technologies that have the potential to address wastewater with high recalcitrant organics.

The two-hour event also brought in a line-up of water tech industry experts and leaders from Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute (NEWRI), water innovation accelerator Imagine H2O and three water start-ups under their portfolio – Indra Water, Aquacycl and H2nanO. The start-ups shared how industrial manufacturers can tackle high strength wastewater streams through their innovative solutions.
